ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Writer and designer David Houghton is the author of 66 Days With Satan, the chronicle of a two-month cycling trip across Canada. His second book, The E-F-I Club, captured the challenges of surviving the four-month, 12,000-kilometer Tour d’Afrique, the longest bike race in the world.

David has represented Canada at the World Duathlon Championships and has competed in numerous cycling races, including the Race Across America and the 24 Hours of Adrenalin. His writing has been featured in Bicycling, Mountain Life, Breathe, Bike and Singletrack.

Photographer Lorne Bridgman is an avid cyclist who has worked as a professional photographer for over 12 years. He has captured images for ESPN, Bicycling, Enroute, Dwell, The New York Times Style Magazine, Fortune, Metropolis, Outpost and The Walrus. His work can be found at www.lornebridgman.com.
